Orthodontic Dental Assistant Opportunity 2.6 2.6 out of 5 stars 1500 Horizon Drive, Chalfont, PA 18914 We will train the right person for the job!! We travel to 5 different locations: •Harleysville, Sellersville, Doylestown, Chalfont and Devon. We are mostly in Chalfont, Harleysville and Doylestown. 3x’s a month in Devon and 2x’s a month in Sellersville. •Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our orthodontists in delivering exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques, as well as proficiency in using dental software systems such as Cloud9. Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during procedures by preparing the treatment area and ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, utilizing Dentrix software. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols throughout the office. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to optimize efficiency. Provide support in administrative tasks, including medical coding and billing when necessary. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction. Requirements Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy is essential. Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures is a plus. Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, is highly desirable. Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures in a clinical setting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Thursday:
8-5 and some Fridays 9-1 Pay is based on experience and willingness to learn. Teamwork and dependability is a MUST.
