About Us:
As a premier orthodontic and pediatric practice dedicated to providing exceptional care and transformative results, we are seeking a Lead Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills communication skills and a proactive attitude to add to a cohesive and accountable team culture. This role requires expertise in infection control, detailed and accurate charting and note taking, and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist orthodontists during procedures, including bonding, adjustments and removals Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient procedures Take digital dental X-rays, intraoral and extraoral photographs, and intraoral scans (iTero, etc.) Manage the clinical flow, ensuring smooth appointments throughout the day Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene techniques Maintain detailed and accurate patient records Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment Provide support to other team members as needed Manage inventory and order orthodontic supplies as needed Precise note taking regarding today’s visit and the next visit. Keep accurate records of appliance and Invisalign cases. Growth mindset with eagerness to learn new techniques and skills. Impactful teaching strategies for other assistants.
Qualifications:
3+ years of orthodontic experience in a busy orthodontic practice is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Proficient organizational skills Certification in orthodontic assisting preferred but not required Passion for working with children and adolescents Passion for talent development and team development
