Our dental assistants have an integral role in patient care, ensuring that the patients are always attended to, showing care and concern for them and helping them to feel comfortable.
Other required duties include:
Assisting the dentist in the clinical treatment of patients Preparing and sterilizing instruments, handpieces and other equipment in compliance with OSHA standards and CDC guidelines Treatment Room set up, management and sterilization Obtaining and reviewing health histories in accordance with office protocol Ensuring proper treatment notes are recorded in patient’s chart Following up with patients after treatment Sending and monitoring lab cases Monitoring inventory and working with lead Dental Assistant to order necessary supplies Various office tasks as directed by dentist or office manager Education and Experience Requirements include: • HS diploma or equivalent Graduate of accredited dental assisting program Dental assisting experience preferred, x-ray certification required.
