The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including endodontics, general dentistry, and pediatrics. Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform X-ray imaging as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize Dentrix software for patient record management and scheduling. Support four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and work areas in accordance with infection control standards. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice. Familiarity with dental procedures, terminology, and equipment. Proficiency in using Dentrix software is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices. Experience with endodontics, pediatrics, four-handed dentistry, and 3D scanning is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
