The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a blend of technical skills, patient interaction, and administrative support to enhance the overall patient experience. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Utilize a 3D scanner for capturing accurate dental impressions. Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Provide chairside assistance, including suctioning, retraction, and handing instruments to the dentist during procedures. Manage patient records, including updating medical history and documenting treatment plans using Dentrix software. Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment options. Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries related to dental terminology or medical coding. Skills Proficient in medical imaging techniques and understanding of vital signs monitoring. Strong assisting skills with an emphasis on patient comfort and safety. Familiarity with 3D scanning technology and its application in dental procedures. Solid knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental practices. Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus, with an understanding of appointment scheduling and patient management. Knowledge of medical coding practices related to dental services is advantageous. Proficiency in dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
