Our current assistant is heading off to hygiene school in August, so we’re looking to fill her shoes soon! Duties Assist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical records, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Take X-rays as needed, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office operations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Qualifications Experience with Open Dental software preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Experience in four-handed dentistry techniques. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and documentation. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Certification as a Dental Assistant or relevant experience in the dental field
