Dental Assistant Haley Julian Dental Arts 406 South Washington Street, Maryville, TN 37804 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice while providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Eaglesoft or similar systems. Provide chairside assistance during endodontic and prosthodontic procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred, but not mandatory. Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is essential. Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control measures in a dental setting. Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental management systems is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
