Position Summary:
The Registered Dental Assistant is responsiblefor performing chair-side assistance of a provider, clinical andadministrative support services, patient care, and related workassigned by Office Manager and/or Back Office Lead.. You willreport to our Office Manager.
What You Will Do:
RDA EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:
Directly assist the dentist duringpatient procedures using four handed delivery techniques. Expose,develop and mount clinically diagnostic x-rays. Sterilize anddisinfect instruments and operations according to clinic protocols.
Process and sterilize handpieces according to clinic protocol.
Perform daily start-up and close-down procedures in lab andoperations according to protocols. Set-up and clean-up materialsand equipment needed for dental procedures. Take patient historyand record in the patient’s chart. Accurately chart results of oralexam, as instructed by provider. Prepare cases for outside labs andorganize. Track returned lab work. Handle and dispose of infectiousand hazardous waste according to clinic protocols. Perform oralhygiene instructions. Perform maintenance, cleaning and testing ofdental equipment as outlined in equipment and safety manual andradiation safety manual. Assist with confirming appointments and/orrecalls as needed. Work with Office Manager on Inventory suppliesand order replacement supplies, perform annual inventory for audit.
