Dental Hygienist Position Available In Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut

Dental Hygienist IKON Dental Group, LLC Plainville, CT 06062 Job Summary We are searching for a Registered Dental Hygienist for our relationship based general practice. Paid time off, no weekends, dental insurance, and a low stress environment. Initially one day per week, increasing to possibly one additional day. Looking ideally Mon-Wed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning/scaling of teeth, periodontal scaling and root planing, prophy polishing, taking X-rays, and applying sealant and/ or fluoride treatments.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care.
• Conduct thorough dental assessments and screenings to identify any oral health issues or concerns
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system (experience with Open Dental is a plus).
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and provide exceptional patient care
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Monitor vital signs and recognize any potential health concerns that may affect dental treatment.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized dental clinic environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with dentist in providing comprehensive care

Requirements:

• Valid dental hygiene license in the state of CT
• Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients on oral health.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
