Duty Locion:
FCC Pollock, LA Duties Responsible planning and directing the preventive dental health program. Instructs pients in oral health care and for the administrion of oral prophylaxis. Performs complete oral prophylaxis to include: supragingival and subgingival scaling using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments, polishes the teeth with abrasive pastes and rubber cups and applies topical fluoride trements. Provides therapeutic and preventive procedures for pients in all classificions of periodontal disease. Provides trement for pients with periodontal disease compliced by other dental and medical problems and prepares pients for periodontal surgery by performing deep scaling and root planning therapy, recording pocket depth and severity of disease, and providing proper post-op care. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis. Persons first employed by the Federal Government as radiologic personnel after the effective de of the regulion who (a) received training from institutions in a Ste or foreign jurisdiction th did not accredit training in th particular field the time of graduion, or (b) practiced in a Ste or foreign jurisdiction th did not license th particular field or did not allow special eligibility to take a licensure examinion for those who did not gradue from an accredited educional program, provided th such persons show evidence of training, experience, and competence as determined by OPM or the employing agency.
