Forest Avenue, Portland, ME 04103 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our close-knit dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in our patient first environment. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist with various procedures. We encourage continuing education and have cutting edge 3D imaging as well as a new Cavitron. Whether you’re just starting your career or bringing years of experience, you’ll find support, mentorship and flexibility here! Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments to maintain patient oral health. Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment during procedures. Review and document patient medical records accurately, including medical coding when necessary. Provide education to patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Assist in the management of the dental clinic, including maintaining equipment and supplies. Collaborate with the dentist to perform various dental procedures as needed. Maintain knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health and treatment. Experience Proven experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not neccessary. New graduates are enouraged to apply! Familiarity with Eaglesoft software for patient documentation and scheduling is advantageous. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and patient assessment techniques. Experience in reviewing documentation and maintaining accurate medical records is essential. A commitment to providing exceptional patient care with a focus on comfort and education.
