Responsibilities:

• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque, and applying fluoride treatments
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment
• Update and maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding and documentation
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
• Utilize dental software systems such as Epic and Eaglesoft for scheduling and record keeping

Requirements:

• Valid dental hygienist license in [state]
• Associate’s degree in dental hygiene or related field
• Proven experience as a dental hygienist
• Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
