Dental Hygienist (Part-time) Position Available In Somerset, New Jersey

“`Job Summary“` We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our General / Perio office. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and scaling / root planing. “`Responsibilities“`

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments
• Perform patient assessments and document medical history and treatment plans
• Take dental x-rays and develop them for diagnostic purposes
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care
• Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a safe and clean environment for patients
• Keep accurate records of patient treatment and progress
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive dental care “`Skills“`
• Experience with intra-oral scanners
• Familiarity with Dentrix electronic health record system
• Strong patient assessment skills to identify oral health issues
• Knowledge of infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment
• Familiarity with dental office procedures and workflows
