- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or other dental software systems
- Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices “`Qualifications“`
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- X-Ray certification
- Proficiency in using OpenDental or similar dental software systems
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices
