The Wilmore Project is a venture-backed startup reimagining how full-arch dental prosthetics are designed using solid modeling and artificial intelligence. Our mission is to eliminate the guesswork of mesh-based workflows (like exocad) and replace them with a fully parametric, intelligent design platform — one that adapts in real time to patient anatomy, implant geometry. ⸻ About the Role As our Founding Technical Lead, you’ll build the architectural core of the Wilmore platform — combining solid CAD logic with Python scripting and deep learning automation. This is a hands-on, zero-to-one role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to shape the foundation of something truly disruptive.

You’ll:

• Prototype our first parametric hybrid design system using CadQuery and OpenCascade
• Develop core geometry logic for importing IO scans, modeling prosthetics, and exporting print/mill-ready designs
• Build a PyTorch-based ML pipeline to automate tooth positioning from tray geometry and photogrammetry
• Work closely with the founder (a surgeon with deep dental domain expertise) to translate clinical workflows into code
• Help define future technical hires and team structure ⸻

What We’re Looking For Must-Have Skills:

• Strong experience with solid modeling/CAD kernel development (OpenCascade, CadQuery, or similar)
• Proficiency in Python, especially in geometry scripting or backend prototyping
• Familiarity with PyTorch and model training workflows
• Deep understanding of 3D data structures (STL, STEP, point clouds)

Bonus Points:

• Experience building 3D design platforms or working with dental/medical CAD systems
• Familiarity with photogrammetry or intraoral scan processing
• Knowledge of UI/UX for technical users (e.g., lab designers or technicians)
