Are you a talented and passionate dentist looking to make a positive impact in your community? Our dynamic and fast-growing dental practice is seeking (1) Dentist for our Mobile Unit and (1) Dentist seeking a Dental Director position dedicated dentists to join our team. Duties:
- Perform dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Provide preventive and restorative dental care to patients of all ages
- Treats diseases and pathoses of the hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and other dental professionals to provide comprehensive oral health care
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record systems Athena.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
- Participates in appropriate continuing education, meeting the hours of education required by the Board of Dental Examiners for renewal of license.
Dental Director Plans and directs a program of general dental health services. Supervise and directs a competent dental staff and assures quality of services. Examines and diagnoses patients and makes treatment plans. Treats diseases and pathoses of the hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity. Assures quality of dental services and provides for emergency dental care. Responsible for maintenance of dental record, encounter forms and paperwork. As designated by the CMO, serves as a member of the Management Team. Approves appropriate continuing education for the dental staff. Supervises assigned students/interns when they provide or assist in providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their training. Serves as HSI representative to selected conferences. Supervises staff dentist making sure they only practice within the scope of the privileges granted to them by the Board of Directors. Serves as the coordinator of Emergency Preparedness and completes and monitors the Life Safety Plan of JCAHO accreditation. Maintains equipment and supplies required for delivery of dental services. Performs other duties as delegated by the CMO.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license in good standing
- Hold a current Controlled Substance Registration Certificate, Department of Justice and Board of Dental Examiners of Alabama.
- Experience working with pediatric and adult patients is preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of dental anatomy
- Familiarity with medical coding for insurance billing purposes
- Ability to interpret medical imaging, such as X-rays and CT scans
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
