ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The primary function of this position is to provide optimum general dentistry services to patients. Provide general dentistry professional services to children, adults, and elderly patients in accordance with clinical standards and protocols adopted by the practice and in compliance with statutes and Federal regulations. Reviews medical history at every visit. Exam and assess patients. Charts all pathologic conditions and reports these to the patient. Holds informed consent discussion with patient, documents same in the record, and assures appropriate forms are signed prior to initiating treatment. Documents all treatment provided in accordance with Dental policy and procedures and signs the patient record. Supervises taking of x-rays and monitors quality/procedure for x-rays and other equipment operation and procedures by assistants and recommends improvements when needed. Practices in accord with OSHA guidelines and standards and complies with HIPAA regulations regarding confidentiality of patient information. Maintains all required certification and licensing. Other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental program by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. State license to practice dentistry. Current CPR certification. 1-2 years of experience working in a dental practice is a plus. •Following 90 days
