Our office provides advanced periodontal and implant therapy in a welcoming, state-of-the-art environment. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Periodontal Assistant to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional care to our patients.
Position Summary:
As a Periodontal Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our periodontist during surgical and non-surgical procedures, maintaining infection control standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical workflow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a surgical setting and is passionate about high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Assist the periodontist with surgical procedures including implant placement, bone grafting, sinus lifts, and periodontal surgery. Maintain proper sterilization protocols and infection control. Prepare operatory and surgical trays with required instruments and materials. Take digital X-rays, intraoral photos, and impressions (traditional and digital). Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in patient charts. Order and monitor surgical and clinical supplies. Support front office when necessary with scheduling and patient coordination. Working in the front as well with : Scheduling, confirming, and accepting payments. Requirements Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience; periodontal or surgical experience highly preferred . Florida Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification. Radiology certification. CPR certification. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic. Comfortable with digital workflows and dental cloud based software (Care stack)
Preferred Qualities:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Experience with CBCT imaging and digital scanning is a plus. Team player with a calm and positive attitude.
