!! We are looking for a pediatric dentist passionate about dentistry who puts patient needs first and has a compassionate disposition with children. We have tenured specialists on staff that can provide mentorship to the perfect candidate. The compensation package is well above area standards and contract terms are open for discussion! Pediatric Dentist Responsibilities & Duties:
Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and mouths to determine the nature of the problem and plan appropriate treatment Educate patients and their parents on proper oral hygiene, including how to brush and floss correctly and what foods to avoid Perform dental procedures such as cleanings, extractions, fillings, pulpotomies, space maintenance, sealants, orthodontic evaluations and referrals, fluoride treatments, emergency dental treatment, and sleep disorder evaluations Order x-rays, diagnostic tests, and lab work as needed Keep detailed patient records Develop treatment plans for patients in collaboration with other members of the dental team Prescribe medication for dental conditions and pain relief Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatments as necessary Refer patients to specialists as needed Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in pediatric dentistry Serve as a resource to other dental professionals on pediatric dental care Maintain a clean and safe working environment Pediatric Dentist Preferred Skills and Qualifications Experience working in a private pediatric dental practice preferred Ability to provide operative full-mouth dental rehabilitation for healthy well, special needs, and medically compromised children under general anesthesia Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems Proficiency with computers, and aptitude to learn new software and systems Ability to work well with children of all ages Excellent communication skills
