Participate and support clinic or pre-clinic assignments Provide examination and consultation and referral services while in clinic Prescribe radiographs Write prescriptions/Prescribe chemotherapeutic agents Administer /observe local anesthesia Evaluate student performance on various Skill Evaluations and Competencies Radiographic interpretation and diagnosis; grading radiographs as needed Provide reference: oral pathology, pharmacology Check-in patients: Vitals, radiographs Consult with faculty/Participate in faculty meetings, as needed Review and refer to the Fortis Institute Dental Hygiene Program Clinic Manual and the Fortis Institute Dental Hygiene Program Policies and Procedures Handbook Stay current with dental hygiene clinical equipment/supplies, technology and software required by the dental hygiene program Encourage community service and involvement with faculty and students Promote the Fortis Institute Dental Hygiene Program to the community through attendance at local and national professional conventions. Act as ambassador and advocate for Fortis Institute Dental Hygiene program and the dental hygiene profession in the college and community Stay current in the Dental Hygiene profession through professional and occupational development Provide leadership and professional contributions to the dental hygiene program Maintain a positive attitude toward work, the dental hygiene department, students, colleagues, and administration. Support Fortis Institute dental hygiene program vision, mission and goals Compliance with all program and school policies Accept and participate in other duties as assigned
