Responsibilities:

• Refer patient to dental specialists such as pediatric dentists,orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists when appropriate
• Oversee associate dentists, dental hygienists, dentalassistants, and administrative staff, and communicate with supportstaff regarding patient care plans
• Show patients how to use recommended devices for orthodonticsand dental appliances, such as retainers and dentures and educateon the importance of good oral hygiene
• Assess the patients’ overall dental health and look forpresence of dental diseases, by thoroughly examining the patients’teeth using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments
• Determine and diagnose oral diseases and provide appropriatetreatment for common dental problems including root canals,surgical extractions, cleanings, and restoration

Qualifications:

• 2+ years in clinical or private practice dentistry experienceis required
• Possess strong bedside manner, and great communicationskills
• Relevant knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, publichealth standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is anasset
• Board Eligible and/or Board Certified in General Dentistry
• Additional certifications required:
