SCHEDULE
- Part-Time DENTIST (DMD, DDS)
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Dentist, youwill utilize your expertise in dental surgery, restorativedentistry, oral surgery, and general dental care to providehigh-quality dental services to our patients in a correctionalenvironment. You will also use your excellent communication andinterpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaboratewith other healthcare professionals. Your ability to workindependently and as part of a team will be essential in providingcomprehensive care to our patients. DENTIST (DMD, DDS)
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
- Perform and interpret radiographic exams as indicated
- Provide dental treatment to include emergency treatment of theteeth and surrounding soft tissues such as oral surgery,restorative dentistry and periodontal therapy within the scope of ageneral Dentist including extractions.
- Correction of significantoral problems, which may adversely affect inmate’s health as,deemed necessary.
- Make proper referrals for procedures whichcannot be performed at facility.
- Report any unusual occurrencesor accidents to the site or Regional Medical Director.
Attendtraining and meetings as required. DENTIST (DMD, DDS)
MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS
- Current licensed in the state.
- Doctor of DentalMedicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from anaccredited institution
- Experience in dental surgery, restorativedentistry, and oral surgery
- Maintains current DEA number.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
