Schedule:

4-day workweek, Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Position Summary
Provide high-quality general dental care and emergency treatment to patients. Support the implementation of oral health programs and contribute to the development of dental policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general dental procedures and oral surgery
Take impressions and replace or restore teeth
Construct and place dentures, bridges, and other prosthetics
Diagnose and treat dental and jaw conditions
Extract teeth and fill cavities
Use digital imaging and interpret dental X-rays
Administer anesthetics during procedures
Supervise and train dental staff including hygienists and assistants
Participate in integrated care and team-based care models
Follow all health center policies, protocols, and safety standards
Represent the organization in community outreach
Travel to assigned clinic locations as needed

Qualifications
Active Maine Dental License or eligibility
Experience in rural or community dental care preferred
Strong collaboration skills with medical and dental professionals
Ability to mentor dental staff
Clean criminal and DHHS background
Valid Maine driver’s license and insurable driving record
Ability to travel between clinic locations
Physical Requirements
Full range of motion including bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Effective communication and professional demeanor
Exposure to typical clinical conditions
Comfort using dental and medical equipment
Strong recordkeeping and patient interaction skills
Ability to stay calm in emergency situations
