Description The Adjunct Faculty Clinic Dentist is primarily responsible for the supervision of clinical procedures and patient referrals. Responsibilities Contribute to a positive working and learning environment
Attend and contribute to faculty calibration meetings
Attend faculty development workshops
Maintain current Maine license and CPR certification
Work with the clinical supervisors to facilitate cooperative teaching and learning
Write prescriptions for preventive oral health care products
Provide supervision of dental hygiene procedures per Maine state law
Follow clinic policies and procedures outlined in the Dental Hygiene Policy & Procedure Manual (PPM)
Assist with medical emergencies
Work with and support the Assistant Director of Clinical Education and Clinical Course Directors
Follow all HIPAA protocols Qualifications Current Maine license as a Dentist required.
Current CPR certification required.
Teaching experience preferred
Background in educational methodology preferred.
