Associate Dentist Great East Dental Associates 460 Main Street, Springvale, ME 04083 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our fee for service modern dental practice. This role involves working collaboratively with a team of dental professionals to deliver comprehensive dental services, including preventive, restorative, and emergency care. The Associate Dentist will play a key role in enhancing patient experiences and outcomes while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence. Responsibilities Provide high-quality dental care to patients, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning. Perform a variety of dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and preventive care. Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records for all patients. Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal care delivery. Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive measures. Utilize practice works software for patient management and documentation. Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development. Foster a positive environment for patients, especially children, by demonstrating empathy and understanding in pediatric dentistry. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid dental license to practice in the state. Strong knowledge of anatomy and general dentistry principles. Experience or familiarity with endodontics and root canal therapy is preferred. Proficient in medical documentation practices and maintaining accurate medical records. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software is an advantage; training will be provided if necessary.
