Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Dentist to provide dental care in a secure correctional healthcare environment located in Burgaw, North Carolina . This position offers a unique opportunity to serve an underserved population while maintaining a consistent weekday schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and emergency dental procedures including exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and treatment of infections. Maintain accurate and up-to-date dental records for all patients. Adhere to safety, sterilization, and infection control protocols. Collaborate with on-site medical and administrative staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
Qualifications:
DDS/DMD degree from an accredited dental school. Current and unrestricted North Carolina dental license . Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required . Previous experience in correctional or public health settings is preferred but not required. Excellent clinical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Up to 40 hours per week. Part-time availability will also be considered. to join our team and make a difference in correctional healthcare. We welcome both full-time and part-time candidates!
