We are hiring a licensed Dentist to provide high-quality dental care at Pender Correctional Institution in NC. The role involves performing routine and emergency dental procedures, supervising dental staff, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Review medical/dental histories and perform comprehensive exams of hard and soft oral tissues. Initiate diagnosis and treatment plans for dental issues. Order diagnostics, arrange follow-up consultations, and supervise dental staff across oral surgery, endodontics, prosthetics, and periodontics. Ensure accurate documentation of procedures in both dental and medical records. Uphold infection control protocols sterilization, barrier techniques, weekly spore testing. Provide oral hygiene education to offenders. Supervise and delegate tasks to dental assistants, evaluate operational efficiencies, and improve procedures. Respond to offender grievances and legal inquiries in writing. Maintain professional collaboration with dental, medical, and security staff
Qualifications:
Education:
Must hold a current license to practice dentistry in North Carolina .
Experience:
Demonstrated knowledge of current dental practices and developments.
Work Schedule:
Full-time:
