Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental/Oral Surgeon Assistant to join our team. As a Dental/Oral Surgeon Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Oral Surgeon and ensuring the smooth operation of the Oral Surgery office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for dentistry and a desire to provide exceptional patient care.
Duties:
- Assist the Oral Surgeon during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area, sterilizing instruments, working chair side and handing instruments to the Oral Surgeon
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to the Oral Surgeon during procedures
- Give post-operative care instructions
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix (would train if needed)
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
