Responsibilities:
- Supervise dental assistants, dental hygienists, associatedentists, and administrative staff, and communicate with supportstaff regarding patient care plans
- Seek consultation with dental specialists, such as pediatricdentists, orthodontists, endodontists, or periodontists whenappropriate
- Implement and coordinate preventive dental care treatments suchas flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications,and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated
- Perform work that is in compliance with infection andinfectious diseases control standards; office policies andprocedures; and safety, OSHA, and MSDS guidelines
- Examine the patients’ teeth thoroughly using diagnostic tools,procedures, and instruments to spot signs of dental diseases anddetermine the overall state of dental health
Qualifications:
- Board Certified and/or Board Eligible in Dentistry
- Up-to-date knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, publichealth standards, and dental medicine trends and advances isdesired
- 2+ years in clinical or private practice dentistry experienceis required
- A Doctor of Dental Surgery/DDS or Doctor of Dental Medicine/DMD degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a Bachelor’sdegree are required
- Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS, and NPI
- Years of experience working with restorative cases & surgicalprocedures
