The Patient Care Technician (PCT)provides care to patients with end-stage renal disease, supportingclinical staff throughout the dialysis treatment process to deliverprescribed treatments. Our PCTs are an integral part of theinterdisciplinary team in ensuring safe care and the highestquality outcomes for every patient.
Schedule:
Full-time, four10-hour shifts starting at 5am; Sundays off; no overnight shifts
Compensation:
Pay range from $15-$18 per hour, depending onhealthcare experience; experience not required

ResponsibilitiesWhat You Can Expect:
Actively participate in infection control,risk management and patient education activities Guide new patientsthrough 120-day education plan Obtain and record patient vitalsigns and machine readings during treatment Role under RNsupervision Set up and break down dialysis blood system fortreatment Insert and remove patient access needles Monitor patientsduring dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of anyconcerns Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weightDetermine patient care priorities and organize work loadaccordingly Maintain professional working relationship, observingpatient privacy and rights Maintain and track inventory Performlaboratory work
