The Patient Care Technician (PCT)provides care to patients with end-stage renal disease, supportingclinical staff throughout the dialysis treatment process to deliverprescribed treatments. Our PCTs are an integral part of theinterdisciplinary team in ensuring safe care and the highestquality outcomes for every patient.
Schedule:
Part-time, 20hours/week; shifts starting at 4:30am; Sundays off; no overnightshifts

Responsibilities What You Can Expect:
Actively participate ininfection control, risk management and patient education activitiesGuide new patients through 120-day education plan Obtain and recordpatient vital signs and machine readings during treatment Roleunder RN supervision Set up and break down dialysis blood systemfor treatment Insert and remove patient access needles Monitorpatients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurseof any concerns Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weightDetermine patient care priorities and organize work loadaccordingly Maintain professional working relationship, observingpatient privacy and rights Maintain and track inventory Performlaboratory work
