Certified Hemodialysis TechnicianJob Summary Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. The Hemodialysis Technician works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse to assist the nurse in meeting the patient’s basic needs during dialysis. Assists nurse in obtaining data for assessment as well as assisting the nurse to provide care. Using service excellence standards, Checking and Monitoring Vitals every thirty minutes and addressing patient needs as they arise. Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, dignity and respect for all patients, Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff. Support the smooth operation of the department by performing tasks associated with the Hemodialysis Unit organization and orderliness. Assists in providing technical support for equipment and water system including collection of specimens and maintaining data Performs other duties as assigned
