Dietary Aide Peninsula Rehab Center by Harborview 3033 Sarno Road, Melbourne, FL 32934 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the dietary department within an assisted living or hospital setting. This position involves meal preparation, food production, and ensuring that all food is prepared and served in accordance with dietary guidelines. The Dietary Technician will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our residents. Responsibilities Assist in meal preparation and food production according to established dietary guidelines. Ensure all food items are properly sanitized and stored to meet health and safety standards. Collaborate with the dietary department to plan menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents. Serve meals to residents, ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation. Buss tables and assist with cleaning dining areas after meals. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Help educate residents on dietary restrictions and healthy eating practices. Participate in training sessions related to dietetics and food safety protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in meal preparation or food production is preferred, especially in an assisted living or hospital environment. Knowledge of dietary guidelines and nutrition principles is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Must be able to follow instructions accurately while maintaining a positive attitude. Certification or coursework in dietetics or related fields is advantageous but not required.
