$27.9K – $31.2K a year 2 days ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Senior care Entry level Full Job Description Maintain compliance with all state and local regulations on food service operations. Check food temperatures (hot and cold) and record the readings. Plate and serve food and drinks to clients. Place dishes in dishwasher. Prepare cooked foods, snacks and drinks for clients. Set up coffee for next day. Maintaining a clean and organized area, ensuring that all food storage areas are properly stocked and sanitized. Advise center manager of food quantities for daycare. Advise supervisor of needed supplies when necessary. Maintaining a sanitary kitchen environment to include disposal of trash. Washing dishes, wiping down counters, cabinets and cleaning kitchen equipment. Sweep and mop kitchen floors in a daily basis. Disinfect and wipe off day care tables. Report environmental deficiencies to the charge nurse such as lighting or equipment problems. Observe clients for changes in condition or behavior and promptly report these changes to appropriate licensed nursing personnel. Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the client, visitors, families, volunteers, peers, and supervisors. Participate in activities and functions as directed. Practice careful, efficient, and no-wasteful use of supplies and paper goods. Complete records documenting care provided or other information in keeping with department policies. Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures including thorough hand washing, use of hand sanitizers, use of disposable gloves where indicated, and proper disposal of soiled materials. Support an atmosphere, which promotes a homelike environment. High school graduate or equivalency (GED). Previous experience with working with the elderly preferred. Medical aide background preferred. Certificate from physician stating freedom from communicable diseases, negative TB test, and ability to perform duties in the program. Must pass Level 2 background screening Must pass all drug testing requirements Obtain food handler certificate within 10 days of hire
