Responsibilities Fort Lauderdale behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed, acute carepsychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Parkneighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. FLBHC features individualunits for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offersinpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensiveoutpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive carefrom our compassionate health care team each year at FortLauderdale Behavioral Health Center. FLBHC is seeking a Per Diem Dietary Aide to join our team: The Dietary Aide is responsible for, but not exclusive of,assisting the cook staff with the safe and sanitary preparation ofthe patients and facility staff meals, ensuring the cafeteria anddining room remain clean at all times, assisting in maintaining aclean and sanitary kitchen environment, operating the dish machine,stocking and the distribution of snacks on each unit asrequired. Qualifications Education/Training:

• High school diploma, basic knowledge of food service sanitation.

Trade or vocational school training preferred.

• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent

Certification:

• Food handler permit a plus.

Experience:

• Six (6 ) months experience in food service/hospitality ispreferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of basic special diets.
• Proper food portion and waste control.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment and utensil, and skill inutilizing
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers andpatients.
• Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices.
