The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of dietetics, ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals tailored to their individual needs. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality while managing dietary staff effectively. Responsibilities Supervise and manage the daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring compliance with health regulations and dietary guidelines. Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents, taking into account any special dietary requirements. Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess residents’ nutritional status and create individualized meal plans. Oversee tube feeding procedures for residents requiring specialized nutrition support. Manage budgeting for the dietary department, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining quality service. Train, mentor, and evaluate dietary staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on resident care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents, integrating dietary needs into overall health plans. Maintain accurate records related to food service operations, including inventory management and meal production data. Skills Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising staff within a dietary or food service environment.
