As a Dietary Aide, you help us support patient health by ensuring proper food handling and transportation. In this role, you can gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting, all while making a difference in the lives of patients every day. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 12:30PM – 9:00PM or 3:00PM – 9:00PM, with every other weekend requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events. Accurately set up and deliver patient trays and nourishments. Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items. Demonstrate working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets. Follow department standards and procedures. Utilize and rotate food products, appropriately store leftovers and label and date food items. Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Ability to reach with hands and arms. Ability to talk and hear. Frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
