Key Responsibilities:
: Plan, organize, and oversee the operations of the dietary department to provide nutritious meals in accordance with residents’ dietary needs and preferences. Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary requirements and preferences of residents, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards. Supervise and train dietary staff, promoting teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment. Monitor food preparation and service to ensure quality, safety, and sanitation standards are met. Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning. Manage inventory and order supplies, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and proper storage. Collaborate with medical staff, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for residents. Maintain accurate records of dietary services, including resident dietary assessments, meal plans, and staff schedules. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and dietary services. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to continuously enhance the dietary services provided to residents.:
Qualifications:
: Must have supervisory experience. Must also have cook experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in dietary management in a skilled nursing facility. Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary guidelines, and food safety regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using computer software for menu planning, inventory management, and record-keeping. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents.:
