While previous experience in long-term care dietary services is advantageous, it is not required. Full Job Description:
We are hiring Dietary Aides for our Long Term Care facility. Your primary responsibilities will include serving appealing and nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of residents, while maintaining a pleasant and professional dining environment. Candidates must demonstrate reliability, ability to stand for extended periods, and capability to lift and move heavy items. The position will be working 4 days on followed by 2 days off in a rotation. The rate of pay is $12 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up dining areas ensuring cleanliness and organization Serve meals to residents at designated times Clean dining areas and collect trays Dispose of leftovers and handle garbage disposal Maintain cleanliness of food stations, wash dishes, cooking utensils, and silverware Monitor and restock ingredients, and oversee inventory levels Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and appliances
Skills Required:
Previous experience as a dietary aide preferred Customer service experience is a plus Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards Ability to follow meal preparation instructions accurately Proficient in operating kitchen equipment and appliances Friendly demeanor with strong communication skills Good physical stamina and ability to meet job demands High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is beneficial
Experience:
Six months of experience in institutional food preparation or related fields is preferred.
