WHAT DOES A DIETARY AIDE DO?

As a new Dietary Aide at Coastal Health & Rehabilitation Center, you can expect a fulfilling day filled with diverse responsibilities that contribute to the well-being of our residents. Your day will start with meal preparation, assisting in assembling trays, and ensuring that nutritional guidelines are met. You’ll play an essential role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area while adhering to safety and sanitation protocols. Collaboration with the dietary team will be key as you assist with serving meals and ensuring that residents receive the appropriate dishes according to their dietary needs. You will engage with residents, welcoming them at meal times and addressing any concerns or preferences they may have. Your expected schedule will primarily be day shifts from 6 AM to 2 PM or evening shifts from 12 PM to 8 PM, providing you with the opportunity to build relationships with both staff and residents during your shifts.
