The ideal candidate will play a vital role in meal preparation and service, ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals tailored to their dietary needs. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food service and customer care in environments such as hospitals, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Ensure that all food safety standards are adhered to during meal preparation and service. Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Collaborate with the dietary team to plan menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents. Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents and responding to their dietary requests or concerns. Support the dietary staff in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies appropriately. Participate in training sessions related to dietetics, food safety, and meal preparation techniques as required. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or in a similar role within a hospital, assisted living, or nursing home setting is preferred. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety regulations is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members. A passion for helping others and contributing to their well-being through nutrition. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
