DIETARY SERVICES DIRECTOR
Full Time, Days Job Description:

Assure quality dietary services by directing, coordinating, and supervising Dietary Services staff.
Assume responsibility as Dietary Services Director in accordance with local, state, and federal sanitation and other laws regulating food service, as well as Facility policies and procedures.
Coordinates food service to assure patients receive nutritious, attractively, served diets as ordered by their attending physician in accordance with approved corporate menu cycle.
Participates in Care Plans & MDS conferences.
Completes nutritional assessments and dietary sections of MDS.
Prepares and monitors work schedule for dietary services staff.
Monitors the orientation and training of dietary services employees per Facility policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of a Dietary Manager Training program, which has been approved by the Dietary Managers Association and pass the National Certification exam.
Keep current ‘card’ (certification) by attending seminars and/or workshops,pleting at least 45 hours every three years.
Knowledgeable of cost accounting, record keeping, budget planning, menu planning, diet therapy, and purchasing procedures, as well as dietary management, and serve on relatedmittees as needed.
Demonstrated experience with MDS and the ability to accurately assess nutritional needs of residents.
Leadership ability andanization skills.
Read, know and follow personnel, department and Facility procedures.
Comply with DMA Code of Ethics and Standards of Performance.
