FACILITATOR

A passion for helping others Understanding of food service practices Can plan, implement, and document activities The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with residents, family, and staff in English Heart for service Job functions: Meet with each resident daily to assist with completing their menu selection for the following day. After completion of menus, submits daily tally sheet to main kitchen. Reviews menus daily, understanding therapeutic diet orders and resident food preferences. During meal times, prepares plates and serves food in accordance with all pertinent safety and health regulations, guidelines, and ServSafe standards. Orders food as needed from main kitchen. Assists with feeding residents as needed after completion of required feeding assistance course. Facilitates mealtime conversations and maintains a warm, pleasant atmosphere while residents are eating. Distributes snacks and ensures residents have fresh ice and water (or preferred beverage) throughout the day. Assists with taking inventory of, storing, and ordering household grocery supplies. Plan and post monthly activities calendars for designated areas in skilled nursing Escort resident to activities and encourage their participation Maintains a safe, comfortable, and functional environment by assessing the household for potential hazards, implements practices utilizing appropriate techniques regarding sanitation, infection control, fire safety, disaster preparedness and emergency care.
