This position involves assisting in food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. The Dietary Aide will work closely with cooks and other staff to deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to food handling regulations. Duties Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring proper portion sizes. Buss tables and clean dining areas after meals, maintaining a tidy environment for residents. Sanitate kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas to uphold health and safety standards. Support food production processes by assisting cooks with ingredient preparation and inventory management. Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation practices. Communicate effectively with residents, addressing any dietary concerns or preferences they may have. Skills Experience in a dietary department or food service setting is preferred. Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation practices is essential. Strong customer service skills to interact positively with residents and staff. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness standards. Flexibility to adapt to changing dietary needs or menu items as required.
