Position Summary:
The Dietary Aide will work in one of three roles: Sanitation Attendant, Tray Line Attendant, or Cold Prep. All three roles will greet patients and their apanying family members when applicable, provide exemplary customer service, have stronganizational skills, and have effective verbalmunication skills.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Previous experience in food preparation or food service cleaning required.
Previous experience in food preparing or food service cleaning in a hospital setting preferred.

None Duties & Responsibilities:
Sanitation Attendant
The Dietary Aide -Sanitation Attendant (DA-SA) will perform general cleaning duties to maintain kitchen area in a sanitary condition. The DA-SA washes pots and pans, including removing scraps, de-staining, and washes dishes, glasses, silverware, etc., Cleans and sanitizes all cooking utensils, pots and pans used in kitchen and retail operations. Responsibilities include proper receiving and storage of food, paper and chemical supplies using first in first out method, returning items to their proper storage location, taking out garbage and trash to appropriate area. The DA-SA will ensure that all kitchen floors are swept and mopped on a daily basis.
Tray Line Attendant
The Dietary Aide – Tray Line Attendant (DA-TLA) assists with the set up for the serving line, filling coffee pots, pouring teas, rolling silverware, setting up the hot line to assure that meals are prepared on time. The DA-TLA is responsible for stocking tray line shelves and tray line refrigerators with product. The DA-TLA assists with preparing snacks, special orders, and nourishments for the tray line. The DA-TLA is responsible for preparing and delivering meal trays to inpatients and outpatient areas such as, but not limited to, the Emergency Room, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, SDS, and Doctors Lounge. DA-TLA assists on patient tray line as needed serving hot food items according to therapeutic accuracy and menus. The DA-TLA will perform daily dish room duties including striping food trucks, loading, and unloading dish machines. Cleans and returns all restocked dishes, pellets, domes, silverware, tongs and mugs to café and kitchen in timely manner. Sanitizes food cards and assists with cleaning dish room. The DA-TLA will perform general cleaning duties to maintain the area in a sanitary condition. Moves all portable equipment to ensure proper cleaning. Sweeps and mops specified areas of kitchen.
Cold Prep
The Dietary Aide – Cold Prep (DA-CP) assists with the set up for the serving line, preparing sandwiches and salads, setting up the hot line to assure that meals are prepared on time. The DA-CP is responsible for stocking shelves and tray line refrigerators with product. The DA-CP assists with preparing snacks, special orders and nourishments for the tray line and café. DA-CP is responsible for making Jello’s, mixed salads, preparing and fixing salad bar for café. The DA-CP will prepare on-the-go fruit, cakes, desserts, pudding, and parfaits. The DA-CP will assist in the café as needed, serving hot food items. The DA-CP will perform general cleaning duties to maintain area in a sanitary condition. Moves all portable equipment to ensure proper cleaning. Sweeps and mops specified areas of kitchen.
