Join Our Team of “Caring People, Caring for People.” EOE/Minorities/Females/Veteran/Disability Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Aide to join our team at Christian Assisted Living, an assisted living that provides high-quality care to our residents. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations, with a strong commitment to food safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with the dietary plan, ensuring that all dishes are presented attractively and served in a timely manner.
- Assist with food preparation, including washing and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, and cooking a variety of dishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety guidelines.
- Assist with bussing tables and cleaning up after meals.
- Monitor and manage food inventory, ensuring that all supplies are stocked and rotated regularly.
- Follow established procedures for food handling and storage.
- Assist with special dietary requests, such as accommodating different religious and cultural dietary practices.
- Collaborate with other members of the dietary team to ensure that all meals are prepared and served according to the facility’s standards.
- Maintain accurate records of food preparation, inventory, and patient preferences. Skills
- Experience as a Dietary Aide in a hospital, nursing home, or other healthcare facility.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, including cooking techniques and menu planning.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and presentation.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with other staff members.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes, dietary restrictions, and menu changes.
