Practice Details Bariatric Innovations specializes in providinggeneral surgeryandbariatric surgeryto the residents of Atlanta and the surrounding areas. Our expertise coversgastric band surgeryfor weight loss, as well as comprehensivemedical weight loss programsincorporating calorie control, activity and lifestyle education. Prepares and implements nutritional care plans for adult and geriatric patients in accordance with departmental policy and standards of care. Initiates supplements, snacks, calorie counts and consistency changes as part of the patient’s individual medical condition. Incorporates current evidence-based research into clinical practice. Acts as a liaison between the Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, and other Ancillary Departments. Responsibilities involve providing nutritional counseling to adult and geriatric patients, families, and others as requested.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED B.S.
degree in Foods and Nutrition, and Dietetic Internship or equivalent training.
Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
Current licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
Two (2) years experience in clinical dietetics with broad areas of expertise preferred.
