JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Registered Dietitian(RD) will evaluate the nutritional needs of the residents within specified frames, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to adjust plan of care for avenues of improvement related to but not limited to resident’s weight status, lab values, skin integrity, and oral nutritional intake. Some of the job responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Dietitian provides guidance and feedback on kitchen sanitation, food production and food preparation to assigned facilities. Provides accurate and timely documentation to meet government regulations/standards applicable to food services and quality of care, nutritional assessment and development of nutritional care plans, and ongoing nutritional monitoring. Provide regularly scheduled visits to assigned facilities to conduct resident assessment at admission. Provide timely high nutritional risk documentation/assessment for residents with tube feedings, skin breakdown, significant weight change, and dialysis with appropriate interventions as needed Work closely with facility nutrition services department to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and corporate policies. Routine observation of food production and storage, tray line, meal service and dining room process, Implement action plans as needed. Approve menu substitutions for meal adequacy and make menu changes per facility request in the menu program. Complete monthly audits and reports and implement action plans for findings. Assists in orienting newly hired Dietary Managers. Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects. Respect others by treating them the way we want to be treated. REQUIREMENTS

Must be a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with a minimum of 2 years long-term care experience. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines related to sanitation, meal delivery, menu compliance and clinical documentation. Working knowledge of MDS assessments and CAAs. Proficient in use of electronic medical record. Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to work with multiple facilities. Functional literacy in English is required.
