Provides medical nutrition therapy to patients of different age groups using appropriate standards, validated assessment tools and evidence based standards of practice in accordance with the department’s policy. Develops, implements and communicates the patient’s nutritional plan of care which are documented in the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR). Provides counseling to inpatients and outpatients on their nutritional needs.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field from an approved college. Completion of supervised practice hours in dietetic internship. Basic knowledge of computers.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

Experience with current Electronic Medical Records System. Experience with Foodservice System Applications. Minimum of 1 year hospital experience as clinical dietitian in an Acute Care Facility.

Licenses and Certifications Required:
