The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dietary management. This role involves working closely with patients to assess their nutritional needs, develop personalized meal plans, and provide health coaching to promote overall wellness. The Nutritionist will also supervise dietary department staff and ensure compliance with health regulations. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs and dietary restrictions. Develop individualized nutrition plans that cater to the specific health conditions of patients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into patient care plans effectively. Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families regarding healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes. Supervise the dietary department staff, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards of care. Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to nutrition plans based on ongoing assessments. Stay updated on current nutrition research, trends, and best practices in the field of geriatrics and long-term care. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is highly desirable. Familiarity with dietary systems and meal planning software is a plus. Strong skills in patient assessment and developing tailored nutrition strategies. Excellent communication skills for effective health coaching and patient interaction. Ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering a collaborative team environment.
